Sterb Khuprus is a member of the Khuprus Family, the husband of Jani, and the stepfather of Reyn. Presumably he is also the stepfather of Bendir, and either the full or step-father of Mando, Tillamon and Kys.
He is a younger son of a Rain Wild Trader’s grandson, entitled to only a small portion of the Khuprus families wealth. He has long argued that the Rain Wild Traders need to create a source of wealth and food that isn’t dependent upon trading away items dug out of Frengong, and has worked hard to develop outposts of foragers and harvesters.
